Description:
As an Analyst or Senior Analyst or Lead Analyst within our Future Power Markets function, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise with Energy Market Principles, by working collaboratively across their business, and engaging with Regulatory Authorities and industry stakeholders.
You will develop key leadership qualities by co ordinating the work of junior members of the team while demonstrating the behaviours and actions that will proactively and positively support the purpose driven culture we are building for the future.
The Team
The Future Power Markets team is responsible for providing thought leadership in relation to market changes needed to deliver on the Renewable Electricity Targets and is also responsible for delivering large programmes of work to deliver on changes approved by the regulatory authorities.
There is current a number of key projects which the team is delivering on including;
Future System Service Arrangements: Aimed at developing new arrangements for the procurement of Innovative System Services
Scheduling and Dispatch: Involves developing Design Changes to core market and operational systems
European Integration: Which will focus on re integrating Ireland’s all Island Energy Market back into the European Market in 2026
Long Duration Energy Storage: Investigating the options for a Market Mechanism to incentivise Long Duration Energy Storage.
About you
Successful candidates will have:
A relevant degree typically at Senior Analyst with 4+ years’ experience in Power Markets or similar industry
Proven knowledge of the Electricity Market Committee (SEM) market arrangements, Trading and Settlement Code/Grid Code
Experience writing and presenting on Technical and Non-Technical Reports
Advanced Problem Solving and Analysis skills
Demonstrated communication and influencing skills particularly with internal and external stakeholders
A passion for influencing Future Power Markets.
