Senior Financial Analyst

An excellent opportunity is available with a Cork-based leading organisation. We are currently seeking applications for a qualified Accountant interested in joining a high profile, commercial team within the Finance function. The role involves supporting the identification of new business opportunities and formulating assessments of those opportunities. It aligns with the strategic objective of promoting business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in due diligence for potential business opportunities, including the preparation of comprehensive business cases and financial evaluations.
• Provide updates on competitive activity and potential economic changes in the marketplace.
• Collaborate with the Insight and Innovation team and divisional teams to identify innovation and business development opportunities.
• Support the identification and assessment of new business opportunities by researching domestic markets and competitive environments.
• Coordinate internal workstreams as part of broader business due diligence.
• Participate in opportunity analysis meetings with the Executive team.
• Develop evaluation criteria for targeting and assessing potential acquisitions and mergers.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver detailed assessments to support decision-making.
• Provide financial support for implementation plans and post-acquisition matters, including completion accounting where necessary.

What you will need:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA & CIMA)
• Self-motivated with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.
