Senior Financial Analyst Price Review

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Financial Analyst, within the finance team in ESB Networks.

The Networks business owns the Transmission assets and owns and operates the Distribution Assets in the Republic of Ireland. The business generates Operating profit of circa €300m per year and spends circa €1bn in Capital Expenditure.

Networks is currently preparing for the next Distribution and Transmission Price Review (Price Review 6) and is seeking to add an enthusiastic and committed financial professional to the team.

Reporting to the overall Finance lead in the Price Review team, the position involves financial analysis of all elements of the current price review and supporting the submission of the financial requirements for the forthcoming price review.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting, advising and coordinating reporting on the financial information set out in the current Price Review 5 Final Determination.
• Supporting the interaction with all financial elements of the forthcoming Price Review 6 submission.
• Interacting with both management and external key stakeholders on financial issues and on all aspects of the financial analysis underpinning the proposed capital investment plan.
• Dealing with the financial elements of regulatory queries and clarifications for both Price reviews.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• An accounting or other financial professional qualification is required with at least 3- 4 years post qualification experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good business writing, communications, interpersonal and presentation skills with associated IT skills.
• The ability to understand and communicate the key drivers of financial performance.
• A commercial mind set with effective analytical and interpersonal skills, comfortable in dealing with senior management.
• An ability to act independently.
