- Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of People the Senior Generalist role will be responsible for: -
- Demonstrate a passion for building strong relationships with employees and managers, proactively addressing concerns, and fostering a culture of open communication and trust.
- Strong IR/ER case management, supporting and guiding managers appropriately on process and procedure.
- Resolution of Employee/Industrial Relations issues which may involve consultation/negotiation with colleagues and union representatives.
- Deep understanding of employment legislation and it’s practical application in the work environment.
- Act as Trusted Advisor to our management team, deploying suitable people programmes that support the needs of the business.
- Support our manager’s in embedding our performance management process, bringing our Capability Framework to life for operational and office-based colleagues.
- Demonstrate foundational excellence, coaching and guiding more junior members of the People team.
- Review our policies and procedures to ensure they align to One Keelings standards.
- Leverage people data, insights, and industry trends to inform our decisions on strategy, structures, and programs that positively impact our colleague experience.
- Role model Keelings values, ensuring “People Matter” is at the heart of what we do.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, driving positive changes that ensure our systems and processes optimise our time.
- Drive colleague engagement, ensuring survey action plans are a living document and remain an integral part of how we facilitate positive change at a local level.
- Own and deliver people projects to support delivery of the overall people plan.
- Support with day-to-day administration of people mailbox, pay and benefits / payroll preparation
- Ensure compliance with legislation changes, audits and GDPR requirements
