Support the people management functions that underpin the business culture. The broad areas include; employee matters, recruitment & selection, compensation and benefits, reward, professional growth, communications and performance management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide HR expertise in a manufacturing/production environment across strategic and tactical scope.
- Be a role model of our Values and Behaviours in all aspects of work
- Responsible for the line management of the HR team in Ireland supporting their appropriate development and making sure the team remains compliant with all necessary standards and business expectations.
- Work closely with other departments providing an information resource for both employees and managers. Advising and supporting managers and employees as necessary and build a strong rapport with the site leadership team.
- Lead the promotion of equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
- Performance Management: coaching managers to be good managers of performance and potential for employees.
- Recruitment & retention: taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns for all levels of site talent; manage talent reviews, bench development plans and succession planning.
- Onboarding and Assimilation: ensure all full-time employees and members of temporary workforce are fully onboarded to our culture, standards, expectations and core processes.
- Total reward: advise and support employees on company and government benefits. Advise managers on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits. Lead compensation reviews and projects in line with company processes and guidelines
- People Operations: Produce accurate reports, manage data and provide information to departmental managers / directors as necessary; manage and assist with the roll out of HR initiatives within the business, meeting high standards of quality, delivery and professionalism.
- Policy & procedures: secure implementation and maintenance of up to date HR policies, procedures and processes in line with our group practices. Ensuring Polices are in line with employment legislation.
- Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
- Work: Operate as a trusted partner with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Senior Management Team (SMT) coaching and advising on all people issues.
- Employee Relations: Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills. Manage absence, sickness etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement.
- Crafting of business and people solutions with other our HR Site Leaders
- Manage priorities between casework and projects.
- Manage and assist with the roll out of HR initiatives within the business, meeting high standards of quality, delivery and professionalism.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation.
- Attend educational in person or virtual workshops as necessary.
- Embrace the continuous improvement culture and seek to ensure that opportunities to evolve the service are taken.
- Manage the Irish HR Budget to maintain levels of compliance on spend.
