• Work directly with customers to ensure successful delivery and operation
• Drive initiatives to support our international growth
• Help set the vision for international across R&D
• Review code and solutions to ensure technical implementations don’t conflict with Toast systems and meet functional requirements.
• Mentor and coach other engineers
• Experience with internationalization of software a big plus
• Drive work across our tech stack and support other engineers in resolving problems
• Experience supporting and debugging large distributed applications.
• Passionate about making users happy and seeing people use your product in the wild.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver on business outcomes
• Experience with consumer data or multi-currency management a big plus
• A core of Java & Kotlin based backend services.
• React SPAs leveraging Tailwind, GraphQL and Storybook.
• Android app built in Java & Kotlin running in the restaurant.
• PostgresQL and Dynamodb as core persistence.
• Pulsar, Camel and RabbitMQ for message-based integrations.
