Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Vision and Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to define a multi-year security strategy and roadmap.
- Partner Engagement: Interface with internal and external stakeholders to develop integrated security solutions that address emerging threats.
Technical Excellence
- Security Architecture: Lead the conceptualization, implementation, and enhancement of global security controls and frameworks to mitigate risks.
- Tooling and Automation: Oversee the evaluation, selection, and optimization of state-of-the-art security technologies to streamline operations.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select cybersecurity technology vendors, and manage the lifecycle of the commercial relationship including contract negotiation, performance metrics, and ongoing engagement.
- Research & Innovation: Spearhead research efforts into new technologies and methodologies, driving their adoption across security functions.
Team and Operational Development
- Talent Growth: Develop and mentor team members through a structured career development program, hands-on training, and performance recognition.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and iterate on security workflows, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Governance and Compliance
- Standards and Benchmarks: Lead the team in aligning with industry standards such as NIST and maintaining SOC compliance.
- Metrics and Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to provide actionable insights into the security landscape.
Qualifications
Required:
- A strong collaborative ethos and excellent team-building skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive learning mindset
- In-depth knowledge of NIST standards and SOC compliance
- 5+ years of leadership experience in security engineering, threat intelligence, incident response, or a security operations center
- Demonstrated history of driving operational improvements and process efficiencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The capability to work autonomously and to effectively collaborate across departments
- Proficiency in project and security program management
