Description:

You will lead the regulatory relations and upstream change team for one of Ireland's leading domestic life insurers. The role provides an exciting opportunity for you to develop people leadership skills, technical experience and to directly influence at a senior level across the organisation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead out on interactions with regulators and manage the implementation of upstream regulatory developments
  • Collaborate with the compliance management team in defining and delivering the annual compliance plan and provide second line leadership and guidance to the transformation initiatives
  • Review and provide advice on pensions and life assurance regulatory requirements and challenge the business on proposals
  • Actively manage compliance risk by ensuring partners are aware of and operate within all applicable regulatory frameworks

What will make you stand out?

To succeed in this role you will need 7+ years' experience in the life and pensions business and you have been operating at a senior level for at least 3-5 years. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services/insurance compliance with experience also in pensions and a consistent record of applying an advisory and commercial approach to compliance management. The successful candidate will hold excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and report-writing skills and have a proven ability to withstand challenge and maintain position if necessary and have strong skills with regards to customer influencing and management.

  • Professional qualification (Legal, ACOI, QFA, RPA or other relevant field).
