Our Commissioning teams help our clients build resilient, sustainable, and state-of-the-art mission-critical facilities across the globe, ultimately providing predictability in completion and ensuring the facilities our customers entrust us to build are operationally ready on handover.
As a Global Senior Technical Manager, you will be part of our quality & commissioning team and with your technical and project management expertise you will ensure projects are planned and managed in a coordinated manner through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning/handover phases. You will have prior experience managing high performing teams to achieve excellent predictable results for our customers.
Ideally you will have experience working in a matrix organization and at a global level (EMEA, APAC & AMER) or combination of same.
Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Controls (BMS/EPMS/BAS/PLC/microprocessor) subject matter expert (SME) in mission critical systems commissioning and operation.
- Ability to interpret all design documentation and ensure the facility operates within the parameters outlined by the customer and design team.
- Systems integration expert with mechanical and electrical plant & equipment
- Ensure our teams are supported in alignment of testing and commissioning to our stringent safety requirements - especially PTW, SSOW and LOTO systems, etc.
- Able to define scope and provide clear direction to execute same to completion.
- Ensure project setup and execution framework is aligned to internal best practice.
- Planning, scheduling & tag forecasting
- Support project teams to deliver detailed packages of scope effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to plan completions from right to left with a clear end goal and strategy for delivery – from systems to areas.
- Set clear milestones and logical start-up sequences for equipment commissioning.
- Audit commissioning resource loading and ensure project teams have required competency to deliver commissioning depending on project design.
- Co-ordinate and align with QA/QC team to ensure commissioning and quality program objectives are met.
- Data driven decision making – using the completion system to underpin our decisions by monitoring project health and risk closely.
Essential
Show your expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (+10 years’ experience) – Control Systems, Mechatronics, electrical, computer systems, (or associated) etc.
- Must have thorough knowledge in base discipline with excellent working knowledge of other disciplines required to deliver technically advanced data centre MEP systems.
- 10+ Years of experience in “hands-on” commissioning and commissioning management with thorough knowledge of commissioning technically advanced control systems and interfaces, ideally gained with CxA, vendor, GC, etc.
