Senior Oracle Dba

Description:

You will work on enterprise Test Databases including technologies like, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server DB2 etc. on both on premises and on Cloud across multiple application technologies on O/S platforms.

This is a varied role, but focus will be Data Governance for Oracle primarily, using Informatica TDM and custom tooling. UNIX / LINUX skills are core. Develops automation / integration in scope.

This is a great opportunity to work with a mature Data Governance practice to ensure PII data is not used in test using Informatica discovery/profiling and masking toolsets. We are also using DevSecOps tools to automate and integrate with our JIRA ticketing system.

In this Role, you will:

• Work with the Data Management Lead
• Work on Data Governance using data management tools across the BoI test estate
• Manage enterprise test Oracle etc. databases for multiple change projects
• Use Atlassian JIRA to account for work performed and timesheets via Clarity etc.

You have proven knowledge and extensive experience of database technologies, Oracle on UNIX primarily, but also MS SQL, DB2, Mainframe desirable. Strong interest in data governance, data management and automation. Solid attention to detail.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

• Proficiency in the use of the Informatica toolset for data masking
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artefactory, Ansible etc.
