Description:
You will be responsible managing part of the company’s wind farm project portfolio in Dublin, to support our activities in the planning and development of our wind/hybrid energy sites (to include other technologies as required) in the Republic of Ireland.
Your Duties
- Co-ordinating and guiding the Environmental Impact Assessments for new greenfield sites and developing possible solutions to risks and issues arising on projects.
- Preparing planning application submissions for developments to the relevant planning authorities.
- Management of planning appeals and planning conditions compliance
- Acting as liaison with planning authorities (incl. pre-planning meetings) and other external parties and stakeholders, such as prescribed bodies, landowners in relation to planning and environmental issues.
- Undertaking community consultation activities e.g. public consultation events
- Ensuring and applying best practice methods to all projects.
- Implementing the organisation’s greenfield development strategy.
- Ensuring project delivery, from project initiation to implementation and completion.
- Management of project budgets
- Providing strategic and detailed guidance to company directors and other project managers on development sites.
- Participating on the industry groups and steering issues within the industry.
- Carrying out all tasks required in the successful development of company projects.
Your Qualifications
- A planning/environmental qualification to degree level – relevant experience in the wind / renewable energy industry an advantage.
- Possess or working towards Chartered Status and membership in a relevant professional organization
- Experience of EIA and sound knowledge of Irish planning legislation, policy, and practices related to the energy sector
- Excellent communication experience particularly in relation to dealing with stakeholders and third parties.
- Ability to lead and take responsibility for complex projects.
- Excellent project management and presentation skills.
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and ability to understand and influence, where necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- GIS experience desirable but not essential.
