Provide design leadership and engineering expertise for Process systems for the Life Science and other High-Tech Infrastructure industries as assigned.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFD’s), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s), data sheets, sizing and preparing specification for Equipment & Instruments.
- Develop calculations of loads and sizing of equipment, direct physical layout of systems, write/edit specifications, prepare design drawings, and coordinate process system interfaces
- Interact with project management, vendors and clients in coordination, design and construction of process piping systems for biopharmaceutical facilities and other facilities.
- Complete process engineering studies, reports and calculations.
- Exhibit good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices
- Actively update and refine EXYTE’s Safety in Design specifications and checklists as related to the Process Engineering Discipline.
- Be responsible for the safety philosophy and results for areas of responsibility on each project.
- Responsible for the verification that the design is consistent with industry-accepted practice, leading edge technologies and special client preferred features.
- Develop calculations of loads and sizing of equipment, direct physical layout of systems, write/edit specifications, prepare design drawings, and coordinate process system interfaces.
- Contribute to the development of the Process Knowledge Centre and use information already developed by others in the process discipline.
- Attend self-improvement seminars and/or courses and improve skills in areas of focus as assigned by the Discipline Director.
- Perform QA/QC on projects led by discipline leads.
- Support, by active participation, corporate and discipline specific procedures and policies.
- Regularly collaborate with global and particularly European engineering
- Chemical Engineering or processing Engineering Degree
- Required to be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal communications
- Desire to concentrate on details
- Willingness for occasional travel
