Senior Psychologist Cystic Fibrosis

This is a specific post, prioritized by St Vincent’s University Hospital, the National Clinical Programme for Cystic Fibrosis, the Department of Psychology and the HSE. The post is dedicated to the care of adults with Cystic Fibrosis. The successful candidate will provide a professional Psychology service to the patients attending the National Referral Centre for Adult Cystic Fibrosis at St Vincent’s University Hospital.

The holder of this post will work with the other Cystic Fibrosis Psychologists & with the Cystic Fibrosis Multidisciplinary team to provide an effective Psychology service to People with Cystic Fibrosis. Treatment is provided on a one to one basis in out-patient clinics, the Cystic Fibrosis Day Care Unit and on in-patient wards. Continuous professional development, peer education, research, audit and service enhancement through performance management are key components of the position. Strong interdisciplinary links exist between all members of the Cystic Fibrosis team, assuring a high level of care for the patient and promoting great job satisfaction.
