Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer to join our clients team in Gort, Galway. The Senior Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of quality management systems, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Lead the execution of quality audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure that quality requirements are met.
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain robust supplier quality management processes.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of non-conformities and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to prevent quality issues and ensure product safety and reliability.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Lead investigations of quality incidents and customer complaints, and develop comprehensive corrective action plans.
- Drive the implementation of advanced quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior quality engineers and quality assurance personnel to build organizational capability and foster a culture of quality excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, EM90100, IATF 16949).
- Proficiency in quality tools and techniques, such as FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Analysis.
- Experience with supplier quality management and auditing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt are a plus.
