Description:
Our client has recently received funding to construct a number of residential projects in Dublin. They now require a Senior QS who will manage cost on these projects alongside a more junior QS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters at both general and project-specific levels.
- Process contractual claims and maintain accurate records.
- Actively seek out opportunities to enhance revenue, minimize costs, and investigate losses.
- Manage project cash flow effectively.
- Provide guidance and support in project correspondence.
- Negotiate and finalise agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure timely closure of final accounts and meticulous drafting of commercial correspondence.
- Prepare subcontract and supplier documents.
- Regularly update and maintain risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets in monthly reports.
- Handle negotiations for subcontractors and suppliers' final accounts, including variations in measurement and pricing, and negotiations involving clients, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors.
Key Skills:
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Extensive experience in senior Quantity Surveyor roles within residential construction projects.
- Ability yo thrive in large-scale projects with high headcount construction sites and subcontractors.
- Ability to effectively liaise with Commercial Managers and Contracts Managers in dealing with internal stakeholders and clients' representatives, including active participation in meetings on site.
