Description:

The Senior Brand Ambassador partners with the Store Leadership team to assist in all functions of a Canada Goose retail location. Execute the plans, strategies and tasks developed by the Store Leadership team to support the various store functions in relation to sales, NPS, clientele development, operations, stock management, logistics, shrinkage and merchandising. Ensure a positive work environment, internally and externally, while driving an experience that allows customers to continuously conquer the outdoors. The Senior Brand Ambassador acts as a mentor to the Brand Ambassadors to ensure a high level of excellence in all areas of responsibility to maintain Canada Goose’s expectations of guest experience, quality, and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Performs store opening and closing procedures in alignment with company standards. Is required to act as a keyholder in line with business requirements.
  • Achieve or exceed individual sales targets
  • Build a personal clientele base by acquiring new customers, maintaining existing customers, and retaining loyal clients
  • Achieve or exceed NPS benchmarks in relation to storytelling and Basecamp recruits
  • Support the Store Leadership team with guest issue trends by investigating problems, developing solutions, and coaching Brand Ambassadors on managing similar challenges in the future
  • Train standard operating procedures: ensure store associates have the proper understanding of Standard-Operating-Procedures (SOPs) and the potential impact on the business
  • Have exceptional product knowledge to maintain proper inventory metrics such as in/out of stocks and best sellers
  • Achieve or exceed operational targets including but not limited to shrinkage results for the respective location
  • Receiving deliveries and checking for barcode accuracy
  • Complete weekly cycle counts & take a leading role in periodic inventories
  • Maintaining back of house area in compliance with company standards
  • Be a shrinkage ambassador and maintain loss prevention procedures that minimize unnecessary loss and increase security within receiving at store locations
  • Motivate, coach, and inspire the Brand Ambassadors to create brand loyalty and inspire a positive store environment
  • Coach and mentor Brand Ambassadors to improve performance and develop future leaders
  • Regularly review company email and other communication tools to ensure applicable messages are shared with Brand Ambassadors and to act on those messages in a timely manner
  • Ensure highest level of customer service aligning with Canada Goose’s expectations of quality and authenticity
  • Handle all POS transactions accurately including sales, refunds, and exchanges
  • Contribute to positive employee relationships through effective communication, teamwork and partnership with co-workers and leadership
  • Demonstrate values and behaviors consistent with Canada Goose’s culture
     

Experience, Education and Designations:
 

  • 1 to 3 years of Junior retail management experience
  • Post-Secondary degree or certificate an asset but not essential
  • Experience working with affluent and luxury brands an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills required with the ability to present morning briefs or training

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and to work retail hours (standard, peak, and holiday)
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional and luxury manner while on the sales floor, phone and/or whilst interacting with clients
  • Customer centric and goal focused- must be passionate about driving performance through internal KPI’s and possess an adaptable approach to selling
