We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our EU Seller Team, based in Dublin or Switzerland.

The core of eBay’s business is the unique selection of products it offers to buyers, through the world’s largest selection of sellers. Our European sellers come in many shapes and sizes: individuals selling used products for cash, entrepreneurs turning an idea into a flexible income stream for themselves and multi-million dollar businesses using eBay as a fixed price retail channel.

As a senior manager, you will generate and design horizontal pan-EU seller initiatives to increase CBT across Europe. You will partner with a diverse range of collaborators across the organisation, including Monetisation, Marketing, Legal, Customer Service, Trading & Seller Management teams from other markets.

This strategic role requires a fast-paced and dynamic individual, with a proven track record in initiating & completing large new initiatives in a marketplace or another e-commerce business. The successful candidate will oversee a diverse and international seller base, leverage data and stay close to our customers to understand their business operations and challenges.

In this role, you will partner with marketing to develop our CBT Trading muscle across EU CBT Markets. This robust process needs to be scalable, efficient & generate meaningful business value for the markets & our sellers. This senior role requires a balance of strategic and operational skills, developing a customer and data led strategy, and working closely with teams to design processes to deliver your strategy.

This role requires an individual who can demonstrate strong commercial acumen, spends time in the market understanding consumer behaviour, as well as seller supply chains and economics.

Responsibilities Include

  • Lead and support the teams around you to drive key horizontal initiatives for CBT sellers across Europe, taking ownership of key results.
  • Be a leader in the EU Seller team and constantly evolve our ways of working and approach to provide the optimum seller experience.
  • Champion the CBT seller across the organisation, always thinking of the bigger picture.
  • Use data to find opportunities to unlock inventory into new markets, generate new sales opportunities for our sellers, and navigate change across an enterprise organisation.
  • Support and E2E project manage the development and delivery of workstreams to drive business metrics, from concept and initiation to release and go to market.
  • Drive and deliver processes, tools & product enhancements to activate and/or optimise trade propositions & seller levers for EU CBT businesses.
  • Balance trade-offs between business needs with technical constraints; gaining consensus across partners along the way.
  • Ensure clear status reporting is happening at all levels, whether at the sponsor level or day to day team members.
  • Passionately understand the eBay customer and drive a customer-first approach across the business.
  • Present formally and informally with impact to senior audiences to drive understanding and consensus.
