We are looking for a Senior Software Java Developer, who is passionate about Software Engineering. Using Java powered FaaS you will work with our Business Intelligence team on big data harvested by SITA’s Industry Leading Baggage Management systems to generate insights for the Air Travel Industry.

What you will do
- Analyze the business users’ needs
- Design, develop and maintain a high-performing, scalable, secure, multi-tenant application for SITA customers.
- Leverage functions-as-a-service (serverless) technologies using Java language
- Apply standards for programming, naming, security, and performance.
- Work with the scrum team to ensure deliveries meet the Definition of Done and the highest quality standards
- Refine requirements with the Product Owner to transform business outcomes into working technology
- Support the applications we deliver to production
Qualifications:
Who you are
- Passionate about solving problems and love every aspect of the development life cycle.
- Highly collaborative and great at building strong partnerships with the business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams.
- Knowledge of design best practices and industry-leading technology
- 5+ years of experience designing & implementing cloud applications using micro-services and FaaS on Azure or other public cloud
- Experience with cloud storage and data ingestion using APIs, batch files, messaging & real-time events processing
- Comfortable developing in Java and its ecosystem of frameworks and build tools
- Experience in agile development, software design patterns, continuous integration, test-driven development, and version control.
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools (Pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus/Artifactory …)
