Senior Software Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a senior software engineer to join a fast paced, highly collaborative scrum team delivering the entire end-to-end application suite. You will be part of a team that not only builds the conversational voice UI but also work on the services that are being built on a state of the art cognitive computing platform that processes normalized channel agnostic conversation for Fidelity Customers with the ability to maintain conversation state, orchestrate customer enriching transactions, orchestrate natural language processing (NLP), and provide enriched personalized customer responses.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in IT
• Expert in Middle tier –Java, RESTful services
• Good experience in JavaScript and Node.js
• Appreciation of financial services a plus
• Experience of Nuance Framework advantageous
• Experience of Cloud technologies (AWS & Azure) advantageous
• Ability to work effectively with product development and systems management
   

The Purpose of Your Role

Workplace Investing Voice Channel is responsible for developing Natural Language applications that guide our customers through the outstanding self-service experience which allows our customers to access information about their investments and also carry out transactions, for example trades. Our conversational platform asks customers to tell us why they are calling Fidelity and then analyzes and acts on their instructions in a flawless manner, empowering users to interact with our systems using their own words without being constrained to a fix set of responses.

This role requires good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, a team player attitude with attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership of assigned projects. This delivery oriented associate must be able to respond to rapid change, working in a fast paced development environment, and demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills while producing value added results
