In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and driving the IT architecture strategy. You will work closely with key stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions that align with business objectives, enhance efficiency, and drive technological excellence.
The Role:
- Work closely with business leaders to understand organisational goals and translate them into a strategic vision, with a specific emphasis on data architecture and BI.
- Develop and implement a roadmap for IT and Data solutions that aligns with the long-term business strategy.
- Responsible for shaping the data strategy, providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
- Develop comprehensive data architectures and the effective delivery of business intelligence solutions that support business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and enforce data standards and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Leverage cloud platforms and data technologies to design and implement scalable and cost-effective data solutions.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Select and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to support data architecture and BI requirements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members involved in projects.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
The Person:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with a strong focus on strategic planning and leadership.
- Experience in leading data architecture and business intelligence initiatives.
- Strong understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, and BI tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services.
- Proven ability to influence and steer senior stakeholders.
