Description:
MosArt is seeking a Senior Sustainability Engineer ideally with experience in the design and delivery of Passive House projects to work closely within our team of designers and engineering professionals. Our projects have a vast range of scale, detail, and complexity.
The role will be working with senior Passive House designers and certifiers on numerous large scale, world-leading, progressive projects.
Main Duties and responsibilities
- Overseeing the delivery of projects in the Sustainability Department
- Passive House planning and assessment for numerous large-scale projects with a focus on MEP, building form and fabric, building physics, airtightness and thermal bridging
- The ability to carry out Design Optimisation
- Facilitating design teams to engage with and achieve Passive House requirements
- Communication with clients
- Evaluation and refinement of all aspects of building and design with the requirement of close collaboration with Architects, Engineers, Contractors and other members of a design team.
- Construction site visits inspecting the works in progress and championing good quality design
- Building performance analysis using PHPP and/or dynamic thermal simulation tools
- PHPP experience would be a considerable advantage, but full training will be provided.
- Problem solving, writing briefs and exploring the project parameters
- Identifying project needs such as training and resource, administrative needs such as IT and definition and improvement of quality systems.
Role requirements and experience
- The candidate should have most or all of the skills, qualities and experiences, and will be able to demonstrate those in your application.
- Passionate for sustainable energy design
- Bachelors Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering
- Member of CIBSE, Engineers Ireland or similar
- Certified Passive House Designer/Consultant desirable but not essential. This course will be available to the successful candidate, upon appointment.
