Pinterest brings millions of people the inspiration to create a life they love. We are looking for a strong and motivated EMEA Tax Lead to join our growing Tax team. You'll report to our VP of Tax and be responsible for overseeing and managing tax issues in the EMEA region and providing critical support to the leadership of our global tax team.
What you'll do:
- Establish and lead the EMEA tax function, identifying risk areas, forming key relationships in the region, and putting in place efficient best practices.
- Responsible for all aspects of outsourced income tax, VAT and DST compliance for the EMEA region. Ensure timely and accurate filing. Independently analyze risks and sustainability of tax positions.
- Partner with the global tax team to monitor transfer pricing policies for accuracy and completeness and offer key EMEA tax insights. Implement, execute, and defend holistic transfer pricing strategies. Oversee the preparation of transfer pricing documentation as it relates to the EMEA region, including master file, local files, and country-by-country reporting.
- Responsible for tax controversy matters in EMEA. Represent Pinterest in all interactions with tax authorities in the EMEA region.
- Monitor the tax landscape in EMEA. Communicate relevant developments and their anticipated impact to the global tax team to ensure compliance with all tax rules and regulations.
- Successfully oversee and direct outside service providers and internal teams to implement system modifications in preparation for upcoming tax legislative changes including, but not limited to, VAT initiatives in the European Union and the OECD Pillar 2 Model Rules.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure the success of PinFlex.
- Contribute to the Finance team's thought leadership and partner with the global tax team to develop and implement commercially aligned short and long-term strategies for the group.
- Influence and collaborate with key cross-functional partners and leadership in Accounting, Finance, Legal and Business teams.

- 12+ years of relevant experience at a public accounting firm and tax department of a multinational public company. 5+ years in an EMEA leadership role in a public company setting. Extensive experience in EMEA tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax strategy, and tax controversy.
- Ability to collaborate,, ensure accountability, and drive results in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with a high level of integrity.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and to execute complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualified or equivalent. Professional Accounting qualification is a plus.
