Service Technician

Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a service technician to join our team to service and support DeLaval voluntary and conventional milking systems to the highest standard in the West of Ireland. A Service Technician at DeLaval builds trust through their knowledge and skills. Identifies and reacts to the customer's needs. Taking initiatives to help colleagues by sharing their knowledge, experience and time. You will interface with relevant Project Planners, DeLaval Technical Support and Sales team members following up enquiries and spending time with prospective as well as existing customers to facilitate a smooth and superior customer experience.

You will report directly to the Direct Area Manager.

You will ideally be based in the areas of, or close to County Mayo or County Sligo. You will be self-motivated and responsible for organizing and prioritizing your workload with a willingness to travel. There may also be the possibility of travel amongst other areas to support colleagues and dealers where necessary.

Experience and knowledge:

• Experience of service work preferably within the agricultural industry but not essential
• Proven record of outstanding customer relations
• Fluent in English with good communication skills at all levels, demonstrating excellent verbal, written and IT skills.
• Technical and mechanical knowledge
• Interest in animal husbandry and milk production
