Description:
We are looking for Service Technician to join our Service team in Sliabh Bawn Wind Farm in Co. Roscommon with the view to progress to Maintenance Technician and then Troubleshooter level at our SVP3 and SV02 Hub which incorporates multiple technologies across 5 customer sites across the West of Ireland.
As a Service Technician, you will perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspections on the customers wind farms.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Electrical/Mechanical scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on varied wind turbines
- Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment
- Assisting the team in the completion contractual extra scopes including Turbine Mounted Safety Equipment (TMSE), Crane and Lift inspection and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards in relation to Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Quality and Service delivery
- Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation and equipment
- Provide accurate reporting into and utilization of Monitoring Operations and Registration System (MORS) database and other electronic workflow systems
- Supervising the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) team members, 3rd party technicians, contractors, and sub-contractors for various required scope delivery
What You Need To Make a Difference
A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for
- Professional experience – Electrical/Mechanical with Electrical (training certificate) / electronics or full apprenticeship scheme will be preferred
- Previous experience of working in the wind industry would be advantageous although full training will be provided for the right candidate
- A self-motivated individual with ability to work under tight deadlines
- Technical knowledge working on different wind turbines would be preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, Monitoring Operations and Registration System (MORS) and Fluix would be an advantage
