Description:

The Digital Transformation Unit within the client requires a Senior SharePoint Developer with .NET to join their team. The SharePoint Developer will work closely with Digital Transformation team and wider Department to understand the business processes and business requirements and develop more efficient ways of working.

The SharePoint developer should:

• Have a strong theoretical base in application development using SharePoint and Power Apps, with ability to apply best practice principles to the subject matter context.
• Have extensive experience migrating legacy on premise solutions and manual processes (e.g. Access databases) to SharePoint Online and MS Power Platform using a combination of Canvas apps, Model-driven apps and public facing Power pages.
• Have experience bringing SharePoint Online/Power Platform solutions through the full development lifecycle.
• Have experience developing proof of concepts to demonstrate the effectiveness of the SharePoint Online/Power Platform.
• Acts as the senior responsible person with respect to SharePoint development on major client engagements.
• Have experience in leading and developing complex ICT solutions within SharePoint Online/Power Platform.
• Take responsibility for leading the SharePoint development function within the Digital Transformation Unit, including the ability to coordinate contributions of other specialists to complete a joint project.

The Digital Transformation Unit, are seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer (with .NET) resource for development activities across their environment. The SharePoint Developer will be instrumental in assisting the Digital Transformation Unit in the development of new end-to-end business solutions and maintenance & support of existing solutions.

Experience Level Required:

It is a mandatory requirement, that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of 7+ years of extensive professional experience in their specialised field (SharePoint Developer with .NET).

It is a mandatory requirement, that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents:

• MCTS qualifications for SharePoint Administration and/or SharePoint Development in SharePoint Online.
• Project Management Certification

Key Deliverable:

The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.

• Application support, administration and development on SPO and Azure .Net Platforms, including existing applications.

o Resolve SharePoint or programming issues for the development team.

o Provide support, advice and guidance to the internal team as required.

o This may include working as part of a team to identify the business requirements, design and test, enhance and rollout any SharePoint projects.

oWork with the internal assigned Project Managers to communicate with the various stakeholders in order to ensure optimal commitment from stakeholders for the project.

• Azure AD connectivity support and maintenance - DHLGH, Met Éireann, Heritage Division.
• Develop Microsoft Power Platform for the Department - Power Apps, Power BI, & Power Automate predominantly.

o Integration with Department ICT applications

o Integration with other Application Frameworks to be used by Department.

o Consider and implement Data Management approach and link with SDAU team.

Innovation and demonstration of new technologies:

o Approaches and methodologies that would both complement and improve the Department's SharePoint, .Net and other application frameworks.

Knowledge transfer and sharing in relation to SPO:

o Microsoft Power Platform

o Azure .Net Platform

o Governance and management approach for SPO

o Azure/SPO administration

o Innovation/new technologies/platforms
