Description:
The IIEA is Ireland’s leading foreign affairs think tank. We are looking for a dynamic intern to join our Communications team for 6 months, from September 2022 to March 2023, to support our social media activity. This is a part -time role, for 20 hours a week.
The main duties will include:
- Work with Acting Communications Manager to curate and regularly share IIEA content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, where appropriate
- Identify speaker quotes for video clips on IIEA social media channels, where appropriate
- Live-tweet IIEA events, where appropriate
- Promote IIEA YouTube playlists of events on IIEA Twitter and LinkedIn accounts
- Curate video and audio content for IIEA website
- Support digital advertising on social media and Google Adwords
- Analytics: Measure impact of IIEA online content
- Monitor gender balance of speakers/chairs at IIEA events
Candidate Requirements
- Currently studying or recently completed third level studies in any of the following disciplines: Political Science, Communications Studies, Marketing, International Relations, European Affairs;
- Experience managing social media accounts in a campaign or professional context
- Attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to multitask and strong organisational skills
- An interest in European and International affairs is desirable
