As the Director of Core Custody applications, you will lead a team of engineers in building our custody product applications at Fidelity Digital Assets. This role is primarily responsible for all engineering activities to ensure high quality and highly available technology platforms. As an experienced technology leader you will be leveraging your technical skills to help make our engineering teams more efficient and effective at their jobs. This is a key leadership position that aligns closely with the Product Area Leader for strategy, planning and delivery of our Custody applications. Your team will be responsible for the full deployment life cycle, ensuring high quality engineering standards are followed. You will lead a team of managers (chapter leaders) that support the Custody products by providing engineering expertise and software delivery. You will engage closely with architecture, support functions, vendors, product, operations teams and other stakeholders to deliver a high-quality product for the Fidelity Digital Assets platform.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree+ in computer science or related field with 12+ years of experience
• Strong background in leading and developing high performing engineering teams
• Experience in managing teams of 50-75 software engineers
• Experience with customer facing applications
• Extensive experience with Java/Javascript/Angular/Python
• Highly proficient in engineering best practices and design patterns
• Experience with delivering APIs and distributed systems
• An understanding of microservice architecture and cloud-based deployments
• Ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environments
• Can provide leadership and mentorship across small, agile teams in a very collaborative environment where your ideas are welcome
• Solid analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• An interest in and experience with cryptocurrencies and a passion for keeping up to date in the space
