Software Engineering Manager

Description:

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of software developers to drive the design, development and implementation of solutions, providing motivational leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

Working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, you will help contribute to the development of software architecture and design, and have an understanding of high-level requirements, with the ability to translate these into technical requirements and actions. Supporting the technical roadmap, you will create detailed planning and execution of development plans that meet business goals and timeframes, while driving technology innovation within the organisation.

Experience:

• Experience in software engineering fundamentals while taking pride in maintaining high quality code that is both secure and scalable.
• Demonstrable experience developing enterprise-scale web or cloud-based software solutions.
• Extensive experience leading software engineering teams/projects through the full software development lifecycle in Agile/Scrum environments.
• In depth knowledge of modern cloud architecture. E.g. AWS, Serverless etc.
• Wealth of experience with a combination of front and backend technologies/languages including: Java, Spring, Reatc, Node.js, REST, SQL etc.
• Experience working within a start-up organisation or in high-growth environments.
