Solar Sales Consultant

 

Description:

The Inside Solar Sales Consultant acts as an ambassador providing front-line customer service to potential customers through lead generation, education, and qualification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Culture and Values Cultivation: Works to nurture the created culture of success and the execution of a purpose-driven and values-based organizational culture. Executes the clear vision set forth and is accountable for the results of your work in adherence to policy and processes.
  • Business Development: Nurtures current customer leads through phone, website, and texting platforms. Executes successful outbound calling strategies to potential new leads to generate customers. Qualifies the leads to ensure they are a viable customer by collecting a set of standard data points required for a successful solar customer. Works closely with Solar Consultants to ensure the customer receives white glove customer service by providing in-depth knowledge of company products, applications, product stages, and programs. This may include training in basic solar principles to provide initial solar reports and estimates for prospects as part of the qualification process.
  • Technical: Utilizes Third Sun Kokosing Solar and industry tools to provide customer service that supports the generation and cultivation of customer leads into a viable solar customers to enhance the sales process and close rate.
    Software: Maintains prospects/projects in Salesforce or similar CRM.

Education/Experience:

Must have a passion to work for a fast-growing, world-changing, mission-driven company that deliveries exceptional service.
Proven customer service experience that includes experience operating and answering a company phone system.
Experience working with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, preferred.
Communication skills, both written and verbal must be outstanding, and deliver constant quality and service both internally and externally.
Experience with renewable energy products, process, and programs, or a willingness to learn.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Window operating systems, along with the ability to quickly learn new software and accompanying software tools.
Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, professionals, stakeholders, customers, and the general public.
