Solutions Architect

 

Description:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of systems architecture, APIs, and cloud-based services, and will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver end-to-end integrated solutions.

 

The Role

 

  • Oversee the architectural design, development, and implementation of complex integration projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive integration strategy that aligns with the organisation’s architecture framework, focusing on scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create detailed architectural designs and blueprints that meet business requirements and technical standards.
  • Work with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and third-party vendors to identify integration requirements, document technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Define and document architecture patterns and components that will be used in system designs.
  • Continuously monitor integration solutions to identify areas of improvement, optimise performance and resolve issues.
  • Ensure all integration solutions comply with organisational security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation of integration architectures, patterns, processes, and procedures for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

 

The Person

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT architecture, software development or system integration roles.
  • Deep understanding of IT architecture and expertise in designing, implementing and maintaining scalable IT systems.
  • Ability to think creatively and propose technical solutions to meet business challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading technical teams or guiding project delivery teams, providing architecture oversight.
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to think critically and independently.
