At Irish Life we’ve ambitious and exciting plans for the future. As part of bringing those plans to life, we’re looking for an experienced Sponsorship & PR Manager to join our Group Brand & Customer Team. This is a temporary position for 12 months, covering a maternity leave

The Opportunity for you

This is a great opportunity to make a big impact and expand your career experience with one of Ireland’s most successful brands. You’ll be a key player in a small but dynamic Brand and Customer Team.

Within the last year or so, our team has created and implemented three major advertising and communication campaigns along with the launch of two new title sponsorships, including the Irish Life Dublin Marathon & Race series.

You’ll be working with multiple winners of All-Ireland Marketing, ADFX & Customer Impact Awards. And you’ll also have the opportunity in time to work across the wider Irish Life team, which is currently over 3,000 people and growing.

As a key part of our Group Brand Team, you’ll enjoy the experience of working with our outstanding suite of Advertising, Media, Activation and PR agencies, who’re not just some of Ireland’s best – they’ve also been recognised internationally, winning for example Cannes Lions and European Sponsorship Awards.

Key Accountabilities

Working within our Group Brand Team and reporting to the Senior Sponsorship & Corporate Reputation Manager, key responsibilities for this role are to:

  • Develop and implement sponsorship & PR campaigns and initiatives that deliver on brand and commercial KPIs.
  • Manage external agency partners to achieve impactful online and offline content and media coverage, in particular for the Irish Life Dublin Marathon & Race series.
  • Work closely with sponsorship right’s holders to deliver on Irish Life’s objectives, ensuring brand visibility with target audiences.
  • Work effectively with management teams and other key internal stakeholders to deliver and support sponsorship and PR strategies and business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal Irish Life teams including design, digital, divisional, CSR and internal communications to optimise the impact of our sponsorship and PR campaigns.
  • Manage and develop a marketing professional who reports into you.
  • Tightly plan and manage assigned sponsorship budget
  • Support the wider Group Brand and Customer Team developing and implementing strategic and tactical projects.
  • Flexible working arrangements – but typically 3 days required in our office or attending agency meetings

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills

You should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 3rd level Marketing / Business qualification and at least 5 years’ experience in sponsorship & PR in a commercial role.
  • A strong track record of implementing national sponsorship and PR campaigns that delivered outstanding results.
  • Experience developing communications across print and digital, from search through all social platforms.
  • Strong experience of working with and developing excellent relationships with agency partners, including PR, Activation, Advertising, Media and Design.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of activating campaigns to optimise impact and deliver results.
  • Experience managing and developing marketing talent.
