What you get to do in this role:
- Develop tooling and automations within the ServiceNow platform to manage large numbers of servers, network devices, storage arrays, and other infrastructure components.
- Enhance processes and tools necessary to simplify and provide consistent project execution.
- Ensure tools, automations, services, and policies comply with appropriate security and compliance regulations and constraints.
- Work with internal customers and partner teams to provide strategic, scalable applications that meet or exceed the internal customers’ current needs.
- Provide your input and opinions on project direction, solutions design, and team policies; as well as write code and documentation
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 6+ years of related experience.
- Experience writing code in JavaScript is required. Python experience also desirable.
- Experience developing for the ServiceNow platform is preferred.
- An intermediate (or better) level of knowledge of Linux systems administration is required.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or noSQL), including database design, is required.
- Understanding of CMDB concepts is required.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and practices is required.
- Team collaboration and fit is essential.
- Familiarity with git and related tools such as gitlab, github, or similar.
- Familiarity with SQL databases; non-SQL databases also desirable.
- Storage and networking knowledge/experience is desirable.
- Ability to code applications at scale, collaborate with other teams, provide meaningful code review to peers, and manage one’s own time effectively.
