As a staff software engineer within our internationalization department, you get to deliver the next generation of international platform enhancements, tooling and solutions to drive improvements in the international feature-set and capabilities of our platform. You get to enhance and improve our code-analysis tooling that drives best-coding practices across our development organization. You will have opportunities to develop next generation parsing solutions and work across the technology stack employed within ServiceNow. Working with our team’s architect, you will develop cutting edge solutions to drive efficiencies in our international go to market processes and work across development teams within our growing organization to integrate new applications and services into our international workflows.

  • Work as part of a growing team to deliver targeted improvements to the feature-set and infrastructure that provides internationalization capabilities to our multinational and multilingual customers.
  • Drive improvements in our product and application portfolio to ensure they meet the needs of our multinational customer base.
  • Implement solutions and improvements to the tooling that scans our development codebase for violations of best practices in the internationalization space. Create new opportunities to adapt, refine and supplement these rulesets.
  • Develop our new parsing model to improve how we recognize translation artefacts, irrespective of the underlying development/programmatic language
  • Is passionate and has the skills to create innovative and future-proofed robust solutions
  • Will work directly with our architects, program managers and development teams to deliver the next phase of our platform’s underlying international support
  • Experience with working on backend engineering including but not limited to caches, persistence, REST APIs, asynchronous systems, etc.
  • Experience with working on maven projects including but not limited to custom plugins, profiles, lifecycles, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of REST, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Good understanding of SQL, GIT, Jenkins
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform, application or solution development
  • Desirable: Is fluent in JavaScript programming and associated frameworks
