Strategy Analyst

What is the Role?

As the Strategy Analyst you will lead, manage and undertake analysis to underpin ECS Strategy work. This includes market and competitor analysis, presentations and papers to support key decisions on ECS’s future strategy for discussion within ECS Exco and PLC Board. You will provide support on strategy execution by supporting the Business Unit on a programme of strategic projects and support compilation of KPIs for reporting. Your accountabilities will include

• Supporting on strategy development through analysing the energy context and the implication for the future shape of Energy Customer Solutions.

• Provide a consultancy service in relation to issues such as market intelligence and strategy.

• Support the wider performance metrics.

• Help communicate the strategy plans through providing high quality, informative and engaging presentations and reports.

• You will communicate with a range of senior stakeholders across ECS and the Group Executive Committee.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

• Strong understanding of the energy retail and energy solutions business, including market drivers, technologies and regulations for the Energy sector.

• Demonstratable experience and understanding of strategy tools and techniques

• Understanding of M&A, due diligence processes and evaluating new markets and opportunities.

• Strategic thinker, with the ability to fully understand emerging changes to the operating environment and how these can be used to improve.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communicator, with the ability to influence decisions.
