Trinity Student Counselling Services (SCS/the Service) is seeking to appoint a Deputy Director. This University post is an important strategic appointment, responsible for the delivery of significant strategic programmes and services. Deputising and providing support for the Director of Student Counselling in the management of Student Counselling, Student 2 Student (S2S), Student Learning and Development (SLD) and the department’s Administration Team, the Deputy Director is a key member of the Student Counselling Service Leadership Team.

The Deputy Director will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality Student Counselling Service, which is effective, efficient, evidence- based and in line with the University Strategic Plan to meet student need – thereby allowing the Director to focus on strategic priorities and development. They will be responsible for the clinical standards and clinical delivery of all aspects of counselling service delivery in alignment with International benchmarking standards (‘Standards for University and College Counselling Services”, International Association of Counselling Services 2010). The appointee will be responsible for the development of key programmes (specifically Stepped Care) and key stakeholder relationships, all linked to the Strategy for Student Counselling and the University Strategic Plan.
