Description:
The role is to manage one of two Supply Planning teams based in Westport, responsible for planning demand according to available capacities in the selected factories withing the Portwest Group, located in the Far East and Tanzania. Reporting to the Supply Chain HOD, the Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for supporting the growth of our vertical manufacturing capacity through standardisation of software and processes across the network whilst meeting key KPIs.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demand planning at a high level for Portwest vertical factories
- Matching capacity to demand in consultation with the factories.
- Working with factory Management to develop new capacity to meet growing demand.
- Meeting KPIs around factory loading
- Meeting KPIs around Shipping on time
- Ensuring line fill of 95% at Supplier level in relevant warehouses
- Meeting KPIs around inventory Management including China Supplier Stocks
- Reviewing and improving all processes, digitalising where possible.
- Managing the HO Supply Chain Manufacturing Team(s)
- Travelling to factories as required for audits and process reviews.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management and equivalent education or experience
- APICS certified Supply Chain Professional is preferred
- Minimum 3 years managerial experience in a Demand & Supply Planning role in a discrete manufacturing environment (apparel/fashion industry is preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree
- S&OP/IBP knowledge and experience
- Competence to work with cross-functional teams
- Experienced in using ERP systems especially Manufacturing Planning Software
- A proven leader of change management across teams
- People Management experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- Data driven and analytical problem solver
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Willingness to travel to factories overseas
