Systems Administrator

Trinity College researchers in computationally intensive areas rely on Research IT, (formerly TCHPC, the Trinity Centre for High Performance Computing), to provide some of their computational infrastructure. The successful candidate will work in a small team of Linux systems administrators that build and maintain many of the systems and services that Trinity researchers rely on. The candidate will not be expected to know how to build and maintain them but will be expected to learn how to do so over time. They will be the first point of contact for many day-to-day issues researchers encounter, for example account setup and renewal, password resets, usage assistance and software installations, etc.

Post status: Permanent Contract

Hours of Post: 37 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€39,656 - €50,190 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
