Talent Acquisition Lead – Dublin
Here at Aviva Ireland, we are excited to announce a permanent, senior opportunity to join our wider People function in a brand-new role as a Talent Acquisition Lead. The chosen post-holder will be accountable for developing and executing recruitment strategies to support our business requirements, collaborating with our RPO partner and having responsibility for oversight of their service delivery. Therefore, it is a key requirement that you can demonstrate both expert talent acquisition experience within the Financial Services sector, plus prior knowledge of working with (or for) an RPO provider.
Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our offices in Cherrywood, Dublin (expectation is to go into this office c. 3 times a week).
Duties & Responsibilities
Execute the recruitment and talent acquisition strategy for Aviva Ireland, alongside acting as counsel on matters relating to recruitment and talent acquisition, advising, and influencing senior stakeholders
Lead our Talent Acquisition function, ensuring both in-house processes are suitable, as well as managing key relationships with our RPO partner. This needs to include streamlining processes and working to agreed budgets to source the very best talent efficiently and effectively
Works with Leaders across the business to develop their hiring capability, utilising the Group’s Licence to Hire training and interview toolkit
Lead on our Diversity & Inclusion strategy, drawing support from across the People function to deliver this successfully
Provide market insights and data to continuously improve the talent management and acquisition agenda
Input to, and support, the organisation’s talent and succession plan
Create localised plans to support development of agreed key competency talent pools and shape internal moves, to develop competence of agreed talent pools
Ensure activity is efficient, cost effective, fit for purpose, meets the unique needs of the business, and supports achievement of Aviva’s global strategy & plans
Work with the Heads of HR and Group Centres to ensure ongoing alignment with the Global People function strategy
Prior work experience within a Senior Talent Acquisition / Recruitment role, with previous industry exposure within Financial Services (ideally Insurance)
Excellent senior stakeholder skills, with the ability to offer a consultative approach when advising and guiding leaders on recruitment strategies
Previous exposure to working with / overseeing the service from an RPO provider – this can either be directly whilst working within an RPO business yourself, or from an in-house perspective
Experience managing a Talent Acquisition / Recruitment function successfully for a large, matrix organisation (i.e., both local, and group wide, experience)
Ability to manage relationships with recruitment partners, ensuring that service is delivered in a timely, effective and efficient way
Data savvy mindset i.e., the skillset to utilise the right insights to ensure successful recruitment practices and ideas
Experience managing D&I processes from a recruitment perspective
