Technical Delivery Lead

ESB’s IT Delivery are responsible for the design, delivery and support of all activities associated with ESB’s IT strategy through innovative IT solutions for all businesses.

The Technical Lead role is a key role in the delivery of projects in ESB, reporting directly to the Project Manager.

The role requires a highly motivated and ambitious individual with experience and a proven track record of successful and timely delivery of all technical aspects of projects.

The successful candidate will have industry and technical experience of delivering large technical and integration projects across a range of technologies and will specialise in at least one of the following areas: SAP, Infrastructure, Digital/Mobile, Business Intelligence, 3rd Party Application integration and/or Trading.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Work with the Project Manager and relevant IT resources to develop and execute the Technical Project Plan including identifying all deliverables and effort involved in the delivery of same.
• Provide input/develop the technical plan detailing the activities and deliverables of the technical team and agree these with the Project Manager.
• Delivery of the technical landsape in accordance with agreed design
• Co-ordinate and manage the activities and deliverables of the all technical project tasks in Design, Build, Test, Cutover to Production and Transition to Support.
• Direct and monitor the technical team’s work
• Ensure that quality controls of the technical team’s work are planned and performed correctly
• Liaise with other internal ITS teams in diagnosing issues and communicating resolution
• Report work stream status and escalation of risks and issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure all project Issues and Risks are recorded and appropriately evaluated with recommendation action communicated to the Project Manager
• Co-ordinate with other external Vendors for project execution.
• Liaise with on-site and off-shore vendor & partner resources.
• Managing customer expectations and senior business stakeholders.
• Co-ordinate Release Management for Project.
