Technical Services Manager

A successful business within the HVAC market is searching for a Service Technical Manager to join the team in the Dublin area. As a market leader within the HVAC and refrigeration sector, this industry giant is on a stable growth path for the next few years and has exciting expansion plans that will be put into place in the near future, making this an exciting time to join this business. The position holder will act as a key component in the customer-to-business processes for installation, repair and preventative work undertaken for the vast customer base of the business. There will be expectation that the incumbent will be coordinating complex jobs, ensuring the team are working optimally and making sure that health and safety and PPE is used and followed at all times, with a focus on identifying and rectifying areas of improvement along the way.

Your Role and Responsibilities

While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the installation, modification and repair of equipment and systems that customers have purchased, proactively identifying issues associated with the start-up and seeking resolutions to these
• Managing complex diagnoses and the relevant repair work, along with preventative maintenance and inspections for equipment and systems on location
• Co-ordinating complex repairs for mechanical and electro-mechanical components for both non-productive and also productive machinery and equipment
• Conducting complex analysis work on service jobs and the surrounding processes to identify areas for improvement that will enhance productivity and deliver profitability
• Implementing strategies and support the service team and improve the services delivered
• Conducting risk assessments when needed
• Carrying out calibration and audits for both car and technician within the timescales required
• Ensuring PPE is used at all times during site visits and that all sites are cleared after work
• Managing a small team, ensuring workload is completed and providing guidance when needed
