As a Technical Shift Supervisor Nights in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, You will supervise a team of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and fostering a positive work environment. Our Maintenance & Engineering department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition of maintaining a high level of safety and reliability, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Your responsibilities as a Technical Shift Supervisor Nights will include:
- Supervising and ensuring the certification of Line & Hangar Maintenance work, to ensure compliance with prescribed airworthiness standards and the requirements of the MOE.
- Leadership, motivation and direction of line & hangar maintenance crews to ensure delivery of thehighest level of technical performance to achieve company and department annual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Working participation in line & hangar maintenance activities and ensuring defects and AOG’s are rectified in a timely manner to deliver consistent OTP.
- Ensuring housekeeping standards in the work environment and work vehicles are maintained to prescribed levels.
- Provision of continuous updates to the TSC and DMM regarding aircraft which are out of service or undergoing maintenance through the use of AMOS Event Tracking.
- Managing and coordinating on the job training, Competency Assessments requirements for the assigned crew.
- Reporting to and deputizing for Technical Shift Controllers (TSC’s) as required.
- Ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, Health and Safety and Security requirements and procedures.
- Encourage problem solving and decision-making abilities with their team and demonstrate best practice, tutorship and a role model to less experienced Engineers/Apprentices.
- Maintaining competency to perform assigned duties as outlined in the most current version of the MOE, to include attendance at assigned company training courses.
Your Qualifications And Key Criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Include minimum educational requirements if necessary.
- Current EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 Licence with approval on the A320 family aircraft.
- Be prepared to work permanent night shifts in a 24/7 operation.
- Display an enthusiastic and positive attitude and work ethic.
- Have proven problem solving and decision making skills.
- Strong working knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
- Proficient in the use of Airnav X, Airbus World and Skywise.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to work alone and also as part of an integrated team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Self motivated individual with a high level of initiative and commitment.
- Provide two verifiable references.
- Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
