As a Technology Specialist within PNC's Enterprise Technology & Security organization, you will be part of a Mainframe Scheduling team. This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii, Alaska. In person activities may occur periodically based on business need.

The Technology Specialist will be performing batch scheduling duties as well as level 1 technical support for the CA7 scheduling tool. Hours will vary depending on the activities of any given week. Within the day, there will be a varying amount of activity, with a pace set by demands from service partners as well as business dynamics. In this role, the Technology Specialist will draw upon opportunities and challenges in problem solving, strategies and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Mainframe exposure
  • Batch scheduling experience, preferably with CA-7
  • Knowledge of JCL set-up and debugging
  • Knowledge of supporting – CA-7
  • Programming experience skills in one or more of the following – REXX, CLIST, SAS
  • Exceptional customer service

 

Job Description

 

  • Administers, executes processes/procedures and addresses issues for products and services supported in Technology Infrastructure. May support analysis and report generation, exception processing and service management. Implements new products, services, and operational solutions as well as augments existing capabilities.
  • Follows a predetermined plan/process and performs simple and routine administration requiring basic knowledge of specified operational products/services.
  • Provides technical operational, analytical and research support to technical teams through both written and verbal communications.
  • Supports incident resolution and root cause analysis of production problems.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of technical, operational and service procedures, as well as process workflows for operational/applications teams.
