Description:
The UI Designer will deliver end-to-end projects in a timely manner, effectively being able to manage designing for different platforms and devices, whilst maintaining brand consistency. You will be able to contribute as a team player through design execution, working closely with UX Designers to iterate on designs based on user research. You love working collaboratively with other designers and different disciplines, and are comfortable working closely with developers, overcoming technical constraints and seeing idea through to implementation.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission aligned.
- You will be responsible for your own projects, taking ownership for both consistency and UI elevation.
- Work closely with UX designers and UX writers, thinking cross-platform and across the product ecosystem, ensuring your outputs are customer-centred.
- Communicate ideal states and strategic concepts to showcase designs and create alignment with cross-functional stakeholders and Design team members across the business
- Be able to work around technical constraints and delivery needs, to design realistic solutions
- You will build successful relationships with fellow designers, our research and insights teams, product managers, marketing executives, developers, business analysts and solutions architects.
- Continue to evolve interaction frameworks and patterns based on brand guidelines and help drive adoption of Design Systems components across the entire business
- You will have 2-5 years of experience working primarily in UI Design, with digital products and native applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Graphic design, or other relevant field, or industry equivalent experience
- An amazing online portfolio which demonstrates both process and excellent creative execution where it’s obvious you pay attention to the details
- Effective communicator, storyteller, presenter, and negotiator while being receptive to feedback
- Self-motivated, organised and driven to work efficiently with minimal direction and provide strategic insights to peers, team members, managers, and leadership
- Ability to work well with ambiguity, learn, and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving Agile environment
- Accessibility is at the core of your own design principles and process
Requirements:
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe CS, Zeplin. • Strong knowledge in understanding technical limitations, while balancing business needs to drive change through innovation and cross-functional partnerships
- Experience working with UI pattern libraries and design systems, and appreciation for their role in creating a cohesive product
- Experience in interaction design, and an appreciation for the tactile nature of using a product
- Embody our Design and Product Principles and methodologies to help elevate quality of craft throughout the organisation and be an active participant in reviewing designs
