Vice President Finance Accounting

 

Description:

The V.P. Finance will focus on leading and actively participating in all types of financial planning (ie., strategic plans, operating plans, business analyses and balance sheet management) establishing operational and financial metrics for measurement, capital deployment, and raising capital. The V.P. Finance will also provide leadership beyond the boundaries of a traditional finance leader, influencing the business and operations, and balancing strategic initiatives with detail-oriented plans and efficient systems and processes. This will include overseeing all aspects of the finance, accounting, treasury, risk management, non-IP related legal, and compliance within the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans to drive profitability and sustainable growth, long-range financial planning, capitalization strategies, budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring the financial plans and processes implemented are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals. Also, ensuring accurate, appropriate, consistent measurement of the company’s results to budget and forecast that is communicated in a cogent, consistent fashion.
  • Financial Oversight: Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance
  • Support the CEO as a business partner in identifying, evaluating, and addressing the risks and opportunities the business faces and ensuring resources and capital are deployed appropriately.
  • Prepare operating budgets and management reports; providing clear and consistent communication with regard to analysis of key metrics driving the business. Organizing, interpreting and presenting relevant financial and operational data, including identification of significant success or problem indicators to senior management in a timely and concise manner.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and relevancy of all financial reporting that is in compliance with GAAP, applicable Financial Accounting Standards (FAS), the SEC, all governmental taxing authorities, and other statutory entities where ShiraTronics conducts business.
  • Preparing, presenting and leading financial presentations to the Board of Directors, analysts and the investment community in general. Managing relationships with the Company’s external auditor, financial advisors, banking and credit partners.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between ShiraTronics and investors, quickly establishing, promoting and maintaining productive trustworthy relationships with the various constituents necessary for the company’s continuing success.
  • Being able to independently and confidently interact with the Board and Audit Committee as needed on matters requiring disclosure, e.g., Compliance related issues.
  • Collaborate with the entire management team to investigate the financial feasibility of various product programs by analyzing the cost versus potential future value. Working with the team on various valuation models for the Company as a whole.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record of success in senior financial leadership roles within the medical device or med tech industry is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA, CA or CPA preferred and 10+ years of relevant experience leading and managing a Finance organization within a MedTech company or similar industry and implementing effective financial and operational reporting policies, procedures, systems and metrics.
  • Superior communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability and desire to be the Finance lead in management and board presentations, road shows, etc.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to enable the timely and accurate preparation of consolidation financial statements, in accordance with U.S. GAAP; for monthly financial reports and annual audit.
  • Strong disciplines around strategic planning, developing operational plans and budgets, financial risk management, controls, financial systems, etc.
  • Strong strategic mindset, analytical prowess, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including strong computer modeling capability
  • The incumbent will possess strong business acumen, a proven ability to partner with the executive team, and will have demonstrated an aptitude for strategic decision making. The successful candidate will have a track record of strategic financial vision combined with a “can do” attitude in implementing financial and operational practices which enhance performance across a business.
