Description:
As VP of Engineering and member of the Business Unit leadership team, this key technical position will lead the implementation of Enea’s telecom security product roadmap, in close collaboration with our product team, to provide the industry’s most comprehensive mobile threat defence and intelligence capabilities with a unique blend of security expertise delivered as a managed service.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Product Development: Oversee the development of cybersecurity solutions tailored to the Mobile Telecom domain, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements whilst fostering an innovative, cutting edge and industry-leading development team.

- Technical Expertise: Stay updated on the latest trends and threats in mobile telecom cybersecurity and guide the team in implementing state-of-the-art solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Resource Management: Manage development resources, budgets, and timelines effectively to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as research, product management, professional services, threat intelligence, sales/pre-sales and customer support, to align development efforts with business goals.
- Compliance: Ensure that all development activities adhere to relevant contractual requirements, license obligations, cybersecurity regulations and standards.
- Technology: Experience with a full tech stack and understanding of C++, Java, UI and QA Test methods. Current technologies used: C++, Java, Clojure, Python, Rust, Kubernetes. Dev Enviroment tech: Maven, Jenkins, Crucible, Git.
Preferred experience and knowledge:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5+ year’s experience leading and mentoring a busy engineering team
- Previous experience as Head of Department and/or company leadership team membership
- Hands-on experience in coaching, mentoring and sponsoring a diverse team from all experience levels, in person and remotely.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing development teams.
- Deep understanding of mobile telecommunications technologies and cybersecurity concepts.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in telecoms and/or cybersecurity.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the cybersecurity and telecom sectors.
